After 11 years of living in Idaho this was our first 4th of July spent here at home. Our town has a nice celebration that actually takes place at the fairground right down the street from where we live. We spent the morning at the parade, which by Utah standards the kids said was incredibly 'weak'. Jake was used to catching t-shirts and footballs etc from last years Utah parade so he didn't think the salt water taffy was quite as exciting. But the weather was nice and it was slightly overcast so the parade was very enjoyable.
We knew that we would really miss not hanging out with our families during the day and if given the chance to just stay home, I might spend the day laying around feeling miserable SO we went up to Idaho Falls to stay in a hotel. We stayed on the riverfront overlooking the IF temple. We heard the Melaleuca Fireworks show was awesome. This is the outside of our hotel below. We took the kids to see the movie Wall-E and ate at the Olive Garden. YUM! The movie was SO cute. We all loved it. Then we spent time at the riverfront celebrations making things and having fun.

The kids look so adorable and patriotic in their red, white and blue. I think our fireworks at Weber High were "weak" compared to what you saw! And I agree, Olive Garden is always "yum"! (By the way, in reference to your last comment on my blog, we would love to adopt all of you. If you move down here we will for sure have to invite you to come boating, etc.)
Your kids look so cute and festive!! I can't believe how grown up they are!! And you are so close on baby 4 how exciting. It is so fun to see how everyhting in your lives are going.
Looks like you had a lot of fun. I'm glad to hear that IF has a good show, we may have to check it out one year. We enjoyed our 4th as well, here at home.
Such a beautiful family! It looks like you guys had a great time over the 4th. I WISH you were here so we could get together for lunch and see your cute pregnant self. Maybe next summer all our schedules will align and we can all get together and even see your cute baby...who'll probably be almost walking by then! I hope you're doing well. We will be thinking of you next week!
Fun! All the kids look adorable. I can't get over how much Brinlee looks like you!! It's like a mini me...lol...especially compared to your kid pics.
You must have stayed at Le Ritz, that's where Steve stays when he goes. He stays in the suites that overlook the Temple, river, and parkway. It's really beautiful. Glad you guys had a good time.
