Brinlee's Birthday

I'm a little late in posting but Brinlee turned 7 on Feb. 22nd. We had a fun week of visitors while Marc was on business in California (or maybe he was lounging by the pool in the sunny weather, who knows!?) Anyways, my mum came up for 3 days to help take care of us. I didn't get to do much with her because I was sick but it was nice to spend time together and have some help. She also took Brinlee out to buy her birthday present, which is always a fun tradition for the kids because they get special time with Nana and they pick a present they really want. Brinlee chose a 'Littlest Pet Shop' stuffed animal that is also virtual and can be played on the computer.

After Nana left, Gma and Gpa Collings came for the night. They also took good care of us. Its just nice to have company while Marc is gone. Brinlee got to check out of school an hour early and have lunch with them and then pick her present; a Littlest Pet Shop house. How fun!!












Marc came home from CA not feeling too great so between the two of us Brinlee's b-day dinner was a sight to behold. We both tried to fake not being sick but every once in a while you could see one of us with our head in our hands just wanting to go home and go to bed. With Marc being gone all week and me being sick, unable to shop ( I know I can't even believe I said that) we thought Brinlee might not ask about a present until her party on Monday. At the end of dinner she said, Did you guys get me a present? We told her we thought she might want it at her party on Monday but it was up to her and she said, "Well, I'd rather have it today." We had to tell her it wa something special and we couldn't pick it up till tomorrow. I felt so bad. I've never, ever not had a gift for their b-days. But she seemed to understand.








On Monday she invited 10 friends to "Outer Limits Funzone" for fun, pizza, cake, tokens and playland. It sure was a fun party and made up for our lack of present which she finally got; more Littlest Pet Shop stuff of course.
