It's a.......

....GIRL. So we decided to celebrate our new baby's gender by taking the kids out to dinner and letting them discover what we were having. We decided to do this by wrapping a packet of peeps that would correlate by color to the gender of the baby. Each child tore into their present and the look on Jake's face when he saw bright pink peeps was priceless. He put his cheek on his hand and said, Awww, not another one! He was SO thoughtful of us both and acted as though he was okay but you could see the look of disappointment on his face and later in dinner he said, Ah, I really wanted a boy! So, of course we would have liked to even out the playing field in our family but we are just as happy to know we have a healthy baby girl who will be a wonderful addition to our family. We are blessed to have wonderful healthy children of each gender.

Jake cheered up quite a bit when dad said, hey, that means we get to go to the jazz games together, and football games and blah, blah, (you know all the manly things they are going to do together). Then the girls went into distress because they want to be included on the dad stuff too. After a nice but nauseauting dinner I went home to throw up. How could I not have known it was a girl, as sick as I am??

I can't believe it! Congratulations! Do you have any names picked out? Wow the girls are taking over, Caty and my sister in law are also having girls as well. Poor Carter and Jake...at least they'll hopefully be understanding and sensitive being raised with sisters, something our hubbies may have missed out on.

What a lucky little girl to get to come to a family like yours! She will be goregeous, of course. With two beautiful sisters like hers, how could she not be?
